Our virtual option provides a platform for students to learn 100% from home utilizing our virtual curriculum. Students will gain access to many of the benefits of Grand Blanc Community Schools such as field trips, dances and athletics. Students also have access to in-person virtual labs at High School West Campus and Grand Blanc East Middle School. Students can drop in, or make appointments with teachers for extra help, and other in-person learning opportunities. 

If students are interested, they also have the ability to take any in-person class that Grand Blanc High School or East Middle School offers, in order to enhance their virtual education experience. For example, they could take their four core classes virtually, but come in person to take art and orchestra. We offer a ton of flexibility in order to tailor the educational experience to each individual student and family.

Technology: 

Bobcat Innovation students will be actively involved with technology resources. The GBCS Technology Department is onsite on the first floor of the Perry Center. New technologies will be introduced on a regular basis, prior to being implemented district-wide. It is important that technology be used purposefully, as a tool, to support curriculum and enhance learning. 

Mission/Philosophy:

Education is more than a storehouse of knowledge and set of skills. Students learn in multiple ways and are benefited by a variety of instructional methods and an interdisciplinary approach. A quality education results when students are actively involved and create meaning through purposeful, authentic learning experiences. We believe that social, emotional, and academic learning are interrelated and that educators, families and community are essential partners in guiding our students to actualize their own unique genius. As an innovative school, we continually strive to improve education.
